Comprehending the Workings of the Cannon Inkjet Printer
Although everyone agrees that a properly working printer is great to have, they also agree that one that is not working properly is a very frustrating situation. One who knows the proper workings of the Canon inkjet printer with a Canon ink cartridge is one who will get the best results from using their printer and who will be a position to make minor repairs as necessary.
The least expensive printers available are inkjet printers who use Canon ink cartridges. This is the reason that many select this type of printer rather than the more expensive laser printers. The way that an inkjet printer works is to scatter very small droplets of ink over a page that it is being printed. These tiny droplets are of such a small magnitude that they are virtually invisible to the naked eye. Only after several of these small droplets have been combined on the paper is it possible to see the image that is being printed on the page.
While it is in the process of printing, the nozzle of the printer in fact never actually touches the paper. Rather than this, there is a row of nozzles that are designed to spray out ink over the page. From this you get the complete image.
Inkjet printers with Canon ink cartrdiges are referred to as “non-impact” printers because they are actually not touching the paper. In the case of typewriters, however, there is clear impact on the part of that printing machine to create the image. In the case of the typewriter we have the actual metal image hitting a ribbon and placing the image on the paper.
Although there may be found on the market several other types of non-impact printers, most are not used and are considered as being too expensive. Since there are several printers out there for less than fifty dollars, they are especially attractive to most consumers.
There are a number of different parts that may be found within the printer. Although this is true, the main part would be the print head. The print head contains several nozzles from which ink is sprayed onto the paper from a Canon ink cartridge. The print head is moved back and forth across the paper by means of the print head motor, which starts and stops the print head. The print head is attached to the print head stopper motor by means of a belt. There is also a stabilizing bar, which serves to stabilize the printing head.
The contents within the printer include also the paper rollers and feeder and the paper feeder stepper motor. It is the paper feeder stepper motor that acts to synchronize the paper’s movement with that of the print head. This is required to assure that as the printing takes place the images appear in their proper place on the page. As far as connecting your printer to the computer, the newer inkjet printers with Canon ink cartrdige now mostly use a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. There are still several older models however, that still use the parallel port.
